On show 369 a caller left a message correcting your pernounceing of neanderthal.
I know... that was 3 weeks ago... that was also the last good one
I was thinking about this lately, and decided to look that one up. There are two correct ways to say that; the way Todd said it (I forgot when) and the way the caller said it. see
merriam-webster. Please, Todd; don't start proofing your shows. If you think your going to slaughter the pernounceation of something just give it your best. The Natural feel of the show is great!

I have to agree. The Toddisms are the fun part. It makes you human. If I wanted the borg, I'd go listen to something else.
What I find fun is your colloquial speech. Often you'll say something, and the English teacher in me (I have a minor in secondary education and a minor in English) just wants to get out a red pen and start marking up my iPod. But then I go look and find out that the pronunciation you're using is just a colloquial part of speech from Michigan, where you're from. I find it interesting that you've kept a lot of that, despite the fact that you haven't lived there in many years.
"Broughten" is one of my favorite colloquialisms.

Maybe it was my cheap headphones, but this Fridays show I could swear Todd said he was going to put all the data in an Expell Spreadsheet....I hope I wasn't THAT bad.
While all Toddisms are good, they was he says Warez as "Whar (like car) Rez" is outstanding.

Yep, you heard that right. I heard him say an expel spreadsheet.
Ars Technica is one of Todd's most frequent "Toddism."

I love Toddisms! Being Australian, I probably pick up more than most. I agree with you, Susabelle. In my podcast, I could be so anal about picking up my mistakes. But if I was to do that, where would my content be? ;)
While some Toddisms I'm about to list aren't mistakes, they are Toddisms! Some of them I use to channel Todd, so to speak.
* Strap yourself in
* It is what it is
* Roof
* Asus
* the various ways of saying the EEE PC (who hasn't struggled with that?)
* Todd's laugh
I'm sure there are a lot more

All I know is that Todd's primary and secondary school English teachers are probably just shaking their heads now. If Todd had had nuns for teachers, he would STILL have red hands from getting smacked every time he used an incorrect tense. I know about this! The Penguins never let you slide...

It was not your cheap headphones. He did say Expel. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

Todd's laugh IS the greatest, isn't it? My son is 18 and sometimes is in the car when I'm listening to GNC podcast, and he just cracks up every time he hears it. It is the most human thing...and makes me like listening all that much more.

Has anyone else noticed how Todd calls messages on twitter a twit?
Logical name for them. I'm sure Leo doesn't mind any

Pretty universal for everyone to say Twit, we are diminishing Leo's brand

I wish Microsoft would Expel Vista. Now that would be a good use of a Toddism.

I look out a Window and Windows everyday at my home. I must be diminishing Microsoft's brand. Some common used words in the English language can not be controlled by a person or company, unless you happened to get a Trademark on it. Have you ever Xerox something or photocopied it. I know, they have a Trademark on Xerox. Look what happened to Federal Express. So many people were calling it FedEx, they actually change their company name to FedEx.
Hey, if people are going to say Twit, it would be better to put the words "you little" before it. LOL LOL. Just kidding.
