Service problem with eBay

I made a web site for an eBay seller, I used the search function of ebay to find all of his items, then that makes a RSS feed.  I load that rss feed on his website so all of his items appear on the site.  All was well for the first month or two; then it stopped receiving data from ebay.  I could not figure out what was going on... I could load other RSS feeds; just not any data from eBay... I spent a lot of time calling and writing the various help address and got nowhere.  My final number was for the developers program.  Before you can call someone over there, you need to pay for your time.  So I clicked the buy support hours, and then get a screen saying:

You've encountered a site error. Please let the site administrator know about this.

yup!  I needed help to get help.  Now, it had an email address to write to; but really? Being a very patient person I just started laughing.  That was Friday night.  Today it all started working again.  I have upped my cache time from 1 hour to 1 day in hopes that was the problem.  Anyone else use eBay rss feeds?  Maybe you know something about this?  I would love to hear an expiation
