It breaksdown to be $19.95 per year, that right $19.95 per year for Long distance telephone service, incoming and outgoing. In the $39.95 you also purchase the little box. It has an USB jack on one end and a RJ14 telephone jack. That right a POTS (plane old telephone service) telephone will work.
I got two units. They work great! I got one of the telephone numbers in Beverly Hills, and the other one in Malibu, California. It plugs into your laptop and can go with you when you travel too.
