Maybe its just me, but the new media expo seems a bit off this year. I'm not hearing much buzz, and the official website updates are even more sparse than in years past. The forums are a complete ghost town, the official twitter feed hasn't been updated in almost a month, and it never really amounted to much anyway. I hope attendance isn't too off this year, the expo had a good turn out last year and was a wealth of good information and lots of vendors.

Its hard to tell I am hoping it has a bigger turn out of media creators.

Hi Mike,

I'm seeing a lot of buzz for the New Media Expo this year, it's just in some different places than in previous years:

We did a bit of an experiment with Twitter, and the profile we are using at the moment is http://twitter.com/TheNewMediaExpo

Pathable.com is partnering with us in providing attendee networking at http://pathable.com/events/nme08

The forums are starting to pick up over the last few days. They run on phpBB, which has become a spambots dream, so it has been very tough to keep the forums spam free, but we're working hard in doing so.

Meetups are starting to be posted on the wiki at http://newmediaexpo.pbwiki.com/

I've also seen quite a bit of activity on Twitter with this search feed: http://tinyurl.com/5ez2d6

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Best Regards,

Emile Bourquin
